Inspiring Learning With Aloha
Frequently asked questions
At Aloha Learners, learning is rooted in personal connection and the spirit of Aloha. With years of experience in early childhood education, I blend evidence-based instruction with genuine care — offering personalized support, regular parent feedback, and a nurturing environment where every child can grow with confidence.
I specialize in supporting children from Pre-K through 3rd grade, focusing on learning foundations in reading, writing, and math.
I focus on building strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and math, while also nurturing confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
Meaningful progress takes consistency, and a strong tutor-student relationship is key. Tutoring works best alongside regular school or homeschool learning, so I typically recommend continuing for at least one semester (3–4 months). This allows time to build rapport, reinforce skills, and support growth with confidence. I’ll share ongoing feedback so we can adjust or continue as your child’s needs evolve.
During our free consultation, I’ll take time to get to know you and your learner. We’ll talk about your child’s strengths, current needs, and your goals, so I can understand how to best support them.
In our first tutoring session, I’ll include an assessment to help me identify specific areas to focus on. This allows me to create a personalized learning plan designed to support your child’s growth and confidence.
You’ll also receive an email update after every session, so we can stay connected and you’ll always know how your learner is progressing.
Yes! Parents receive feedback after every session to help track growth, reinforce learning at home, and stay connected to your child’s journey.
Absolutely. I work with homeschool families to supplement core subjects, reinforce learning goals, and provide structure and encouragement.
One-on-one sessions offer fully personalized support.
Small-group sessions (up to 3 students) are great for learners in the same grade or with similar learning styles — promoting teamwork, communication, and shared growth.
Tutoring is available in person in Kihei, Maui at my learning center. I recommend in-person tutoring as face-to-face interaction creates the most effective learning environment for students. However, online tutoring is available upon request.
